Dunkin’ Donuts made news of late when the chain decided to shorten its name to Dunkin’ — no doubt because it has expanded its menu to include sandwiches and other non-doughnut fare. You may not know that the company — which boasts 10,000 outlets in 32 countries — was started in 1950 by entrepreneur William Rosenberg (June 10, 1916 — September 22, 2002). Rosenberg was also a pioneer in the American franchising industry.
Quotes: “A leader must possess credibility, imagination, enthusiasm, vision, foresight, a sense of timing, a passion for excellence and be willing to share.” | “They must also possess empathy, common sense, devotion dedication, persistence the ability to communicate, teach and pass on to others, and always remember the customer is the boss for they have the discretion where to spend their money amongst the multitude of competitors vying for it.”
