Tony Schwartz (68) is famously known — or infamously known, depending on one’s point of view — for being the ghostwriter of the bestselling book Trump: The Art of the Deal. He says he has regretted his participation in the project for decades. Other books penned by Schwartz include What Really Matters: Searching for Wisdom in America, and The Power of Full Engagement: Managing Energy Not Time (coauthored with Jim Loehr). Schwartz is an ardent critic of the President and regularly expresses his views on cable news programs.
Quote: “Let go of certainty. The opposite isn’t uncertainty. It’s openness, curiosity and a willingness to embrace paradox, rather than choose up sides. The ultimate challenge is to accept ourselves exactly as we are, but never stop trying to learn and grow.” | “Each of us has a finite reservoir of energy in any given day. Whatever amount of energy we spend obsessing about missteps we have made, decisions that do not go our way or the belief we have been treated unfairly is energy no longer available to add value in the world.”
