Richard Edelman, 63, is the president and CEO of the eponymous public relations company Edelman, the largest independently owned PR firm in the world. The company was founded in 1952 by his father, Daniel Edelman.
On March 31, 2014, the younger Edelman delivered a speech to the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta: He emphasized the ethical obligation he feels in running a Jewish family business, even one with more than 5,000 employees. Edelman connected that obligation to the traditional values of the Jewish people, and spoke about the responsibility of business to help solve “complex global challenges.”
