Author and journalist Stephen Dubner hosts the popular podcast and NPR program Freakonomics Radio, which explores a range of socioeconomic issues. The 58-year-old Dubner and economist Steven Levitt (also Jewish) have jointly written four books in a Freakonomics series, the first one published in 2005. That book sold millions of copies around the world and was translated into 35 languages.
Quote: “A lot of people are scared of experimentation because they think you have to be scientists, or they’re also scared of it because it means that you have to admit that you don’t know the answer. A lot of people like to assume they know the solution to a problem when they don’t.”
