American investigative journalist Seymour “Si” Hersh has garnered many awards during his long career: a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting, two National Magazine Awards and a National Book Critics Circle Award, among others. The now 80-year-old Hersh has broken a number of major stories over the years, including the May Lai Massacre during the Vietnam War and the mistreatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
