Nancy Lieberman, 61, is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. In 1980, she was named to that year’s Olympic basketball team — although the team did not compete in the Moscow Olympics due to the U.S. boycott. Professionally, “Lady Magic” — which was her nickname — played for the Dallas Diamonds and the Washington Generals, among other teams. Currently, she’s a broadcaster for the New Orleans Pelicans, as well as head coach of Power, a Big3 team.
Quotes: “There’s no substitute for hard work. If you work hard and prepare yourself, you might get beat, but you’ll never lose.” | “The difference between a winner and a loser is, many times, a matter of inches. If you think you can do it, most of the time you’ll do it.”
