Michael (Mike) Leven, 83, had a stellar business career, but now in his later years he has turned his attention to his love of the Jewish people and Israel. Inspired by Warren Buffet and Bill Gates’ Giving Pledge, Mike co-founded the Jewish Future Pledge, “a worldwide movement inspiring Jews of all backgrounds to commit that from the charity they leave at their passing, at least half is earmarked to support the Jewish people and/or the State of Israel.”

Quote: “I learned from the pushkes [charity boxes] my grandparents kept on the television that it isn’t always how much we give that matters,” he recalls. “Sometimes, it’s just the giving itself.”
