Mars — the giant American confectionery and food company, not the planet — is counting on Israeli technical and agricultural prowess to help develop sustainable global food production. The company is investing $1 billion in its sustainability project. During a recent trip to Israel, George Graham, vice president of the Mars Advanced Research Institute, said Mars is partnering with Israeli innovators “to spur research and development that can drive progress related to agtech, nutrition and food security in our industry.”
Quote: “We want to partner with today’s brightest and most innovative minds to solve issues in the global food system — and to have real, lasting impact, we know we need forward-thinking, global partnerships. And what better place to talk about partnerships than in Israel — one of the world’s strongest innovation hubs.” — George Graham
