Renowned physicist Leonard Susskind, 78, is professor of theoretical physics at Stanford University and director of the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics. During his decades-long career, Susskind also was a professor of physics at Yeshiva University and Tel Aviv University. He is generally considered to be one of the pioneers of string theory; his many other significant contributions to the field of physics are too numerous to list here. Susskind has authored several books, including The Cosmic Landscape and The Black Hole War. He’s a sought-after and acclaimed lecturer on the subject of physics.
