Lenny Krayzelburg, 44, competed in the backstroke at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, coming away with four gold medals. Born in Odessa, USSR — now part of Ukraine — he emigrated with his family to the U.S. in 1989. While in college, Krayzelburg broke several world records in the backstroke. In 2001 and 2017, he successfully competed in the Maccabiah Games in Israel. Krayzelburg was inducted in the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2001.
