Janet Yellen (76), the first female Secretary of the Treasury in the history of the United States, recently testified before the House of Representatives about the proposed 2024 budget and other important financial matters. Yellen is an economist who has served as Treasury Secretary since January 26, 2021. She was the 15th chair of the Federal Reserve from 2014 to 2018. Before that, she led the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
