“Golden Boy,” performed by popular French-Israeli singer Nadav Guadj, was the country’s entry in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. It was the first Israeli entry in that international competitition to be sung entirely in English. Although the song made it through several rounds into the grand final, it wound up finishing in 9th place in the overall competition. In Israel, Guadj is sometimes called the “Israeli Justin Timberlake” due to the two singers’ perceived similarity in vocal style. Of note: Guadj was only 16 when he compteted in Eurovision.
