Gloria Allred, 78, is a nationally known attorney who often represents clients in high-profile cases — especially cases involving women’s rights issues. She herself speaks openly about her experience being raped, becoming pregnant as a result, and almost dying from terminating the pregnancy. In addition to her women’s rights advocacy, Allred has been a staunch supporter of LGBTQ rights. Sometimes criticized for her tough-as-nails attitude, she and her clients have appeared on television — often in news conferences — many times.
