Bernie Sanders: Running to Become the Democratic Candidate in 2020

Bernie Sanders hardly needs an introduction here. In 2016, the now 77-year-old U.S. senator (I) from Vermont became famous in America and worldwide by challenging Hilary Clinton for the Democratic nomination in that year’s presidential election. A self-styled Democratic-Socialist, Sanders has long championed progressive positions on a variety of issues. Now he’s running to appear on the presidential ballot as a Democrat in 2020.
