Ari Melber is a familiar figure to viewers of the MSNBC news and analysis show “The Beat with Ari Melber,” which first aired in July 2017. Since then, the program has become the network’s highest-rated show ever in its timeslot. Melber earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a J.D. degree from Cornell Law School. In April 2015, he was named Chief Legal Correspondent for MSNBC. Melber received an Emmy Award for his coverage of the U.S. Supreme Court; his writings have appeared in The Nation, The Atlantic, Reuters and Politico, among other places.
