Andy Kaufman: Latka Gravas, Elvis Presley, Tony Clifton, and More

Andy Kaufman (Jan. 17, 1949 – May 16, 1984) was an innovative entertainer, actor, and performance artist best known for his role as Latka Gravas on the TV sitcom Taxi. Two of his other memorable characters were his uncanny singing impersonation of Elvis Presley and the obnoxious lounge singer Tony Clifton. He was also an author and sometime wrestler. Sadly, Kaufman passed away at the age of 35 from lung cancer.
