Attorney Andrew A. Weissmann (62) became the chief of the criminal fraud section of the U.S. Department of Justice in 2015. Two years later he was appointed to a management role on the 2017 Special Counsel team headed by Robert Mueller. The Muller investigation into President Donald Trump ended in 2019, after which Weissmann went into the private sector. In September 2020, Random House released a book by Weissman titled Where Law Ends: Inside the Mueller Investigation.
Quote: “Weissmann, an MSNBC analyst best known as the ‘pit bull’ for Special Counsel Robert Mueller during the Russia probe, slammed those who are willing to ‘appease’ the president as he continues to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election. ‘For those people who say we should just appease Trump, how did that approach go for Neville Chamberlain?’ asked Weissmann, referring to the British prime minister who negotiated the 1938 Munich Agreement with Hitler.” Ed. note: As might be expected, Fox then went on to excoriate Weissmann.
