Andrew Levy, a realtor in South Florida, recently paid off the school lunch debts of more than 400 students in nine schools in the town of Jupiter. Without his contribution of nearly $1,000, those youngsters would only receive cold sandwiches instead of nutritious hot meals. Levy plans to make this an ongoing effort.
Quotes: “Food is something that you shouldn’t have to think about. Children should’t have to learn [while they’re] hungry.” | “I’m going to do either a GoFundMe page or a fundraising page that can raise money every quarter so lunch debt never accumulates, so that children never have to worry about a hot meal and parents never have to worry about paying the bill.”
