Amy Berman Jackson, 65, is a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She was the presiding judge in the criminal case against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort. Judge Jackson sentenced Manafort to nearly four years in prison — which, when added to another sentence he received, resulted in more than seven years of incarceration.
Judge Jackson also presided over the case against longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone, which recently received a great deal of media attention following sentencing interference by Attorney General William Barr. As of this writing, the judge reportedly is about to issue her sentence in that case.
UPDATE: 2/20/2020 | Judge Amy Berman Jackson has just sentenced Roger Stone to serve 40 months in prison.
Quote: “No statements about the case during interviews on TV, on the radio, with print reporters or on internet-based media. No press releases or press conferences. No blogs or letters to the editor. No posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat or any other form of social media. You apparently need clear boundaries, so there they are.”
